Taichung City, Taiwan — July 20, 2025
A total of 285 graduates proudly received their certificates during the awarding ceremony held on July 20, 2025, at the Ugnayan Training Center in Tanzi District, Taichung City, after successfully completing various technical and vocational courses under the center’s community development program for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
The courses covered a wide range of practical skills, including Basic Mandarin, Basic Photography, Haircutting for Men, Basic Massage (Male and Female), Basic and Advanced Computer Courses, Bread Making (weekend classes), Barista: Hot and Cold Drinks (morning and afternoon batches), Hair and Make-up, Skin Care: Facial Deep Cleansing Techniques, and Soap & Salt Body Scrub Making. The ceremony recognized graduates from Batch 9 and Batch 10.
The event highlighted the commitment of OFWs in Taiwan to self-improvement and lifelong learning. Organizers commended the participants for their dedication and determination to gain new skills while working abroad.
Training facilitators and program coordinators also expressed pride in the graduates, encouraging them to apply their newfound knowledge not just for personal growth, but as stepping stones toward future business opportunities or professional development.
The Ugnayan Training Center continues to offer free and accessible skills training for OFWs, with the goal of equipping them with practical competencies that can benefit them both in Taiwan and when they eventually return home to the Philippines.
