3 Low Pressure Areas Monitored; 1 Likely to Become Tropical Depression Within 24 Hours — PAGASA

MANILA, Philippines — July 22, 2025 (8:00 AM Update)

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is currently monitoring three Low Pressure Areas (LPAs), with one showing a high likelihood of intensifying into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

According to the latest update from PAGASA, the LPA designated as 07g, located inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), now has a high potential of developing into a tropical depression. Residents in areas that may be affected are urged to remain alert and stay updated with the latest weather advisories.

Another LPA, 07h, also inside PAR, is being observed and holds a medium chance of strengthening into a tropical depression within the same period.

Meanwhile, a third LPA, 07i, currently located outside the PAR, is likewise being monitored and also carries a medium potential for development.

PAGASA advised the public, especially those in low-lying and flood-prone areas, to regularly monitor weather bulletins and prepare for possible heavy rains or thunderstorms should any of the weather systems intensify.

For timely and official updates, the public is encouraged to follow bulletins released by DOST-PAGASA.
