A fire broke out this afternoon in a two-story reinforced concrete home with a metal sheet extension on the third floor, located in Lane 22, Section 2 of Zhonghua East Road, East District, Tainan City.
According to the Tainan City Fire Department, the blaze was reported at 4:11 p.m. and spread across an area of roughly 10 square meters, causing property damage. Fortunately, all residents managed to evacuate safely, and no injuries were reported.
Fire crews brought the situation under control within minutes, extinguishing the flames by 4:22 p.m. A total of 15 fire trucks, 32 firefighters, and two conscripts were deployed to the scene. The remaining hot spots were fully dealt with by 5:42 p.m.
Authorities confirmed that the case has been handed over to the Fire Investigation Division to determine the exact cause. In the meantime, firefighters provided the homeowner with guidance on fire prevention and electrical safety to help avoid similar incidents in the future.
