President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the Philippines is open to any suggestions, proposals, or ideas from the United States that could help the country address the various challenges it is currently facing.
The statement was made during a courtesy call at Malacañang by members of the US Senate Armed Services Committee Congressional delegation.
According to the President, there are many areas where Manila and Washington can work hand in hand, particularly in strengthening multilateral agreements already established within the region.
He also expressed gratitude to the US government for its continuing support, especially in the modernization efforts of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
President Marcos further conveyed his optimism that the partnership between the Philippines and the United States will continue to deepen, citing the long-standing alliance spanning more than a century.
“Moving forward, I am hopeful that the Philippines and the United States will remain close partners and allies in pursuing peace, stability, and prosperity,” Marcos said.
