Comedian and “Bubble Gang” mainstay Michael V appeared to respond to netizens’ requests for him to parody controversial contractor Sarah Discaya after posting a teaser clip that strongly hinted at the impersonation.
On his Facebook page, Michael V shared a short video showing him in an outfit resembling Discaya’s, though his back was turned to the camera. The post was captioned with a thinking emoji, a money bag, and a balance scale, followed by the “Bubble Gang” title card revealing the September 14 airing date at 6:10 p.m.
The teaser, originally uploaded on the “Bubble Gang” Facebook page, carried the caption: “Hindi pa tapos ang hearing (the hearing is not over).”
Although Michael V did not directly name Discaya, his co-star Paolo Contis seemed to confirm the act by uploading a selfie with the comedian dressed as the contractor. In the photo posted on Contis’ Instagram story on September 8, Michael V sported a white coat over a brown plaid blouse, complete with a short wig and a small mole near his nose — replicating Discaya’s appearance when she attended the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on alleged irregularities in flood control projects last September 1.
Fans of the long-running gag show are now eagerly waiting to see Michael V’s take on the issue, continuing his reputation for satirical portrayals of trending figures in politics and public affairs.
