OVP Continues Relief Operations for Flood Victims Across Affected Areas

July 23, 2025 — The Office of the Vice President (OVP), through its Disaster Operations Center (OVP-DOC), is continuing its round-the-clock relief operations to assist communities heavily affected by recent torrential rains and widespread flooding.

In a statement released today, OVP Spokesperson Atty. Ruth Castelo confirmed that the OVP is actively preparing relief goods and coordinating logistics for deployment to flood-stricken areas.

“More than 4,000 families affected by the recent flooding are set to receive assistance from the OVP-DOC in the coming relief operations,” Castelo said.

Efforts are currently focused on providing essential aid, including food packs, hygiene kits, and other non-food items to ensure the immediate needs of displaced and vulnerable residents are met.

The OVP-DOC has been closely monitoring the weather situation and working in coordination with local government units (LGUs) to identify the hardest-hit communities and prioritize urgent interventions.

The Vice President’s office reiterated its commitment to swift and efficient humanitarian response, especially in times of natural disasters, ensuring that no Filipino family is left behind in times of crisis.

As of this writing, preparations for the next wave of distribution are ongoing, with volunteers and personnel mobilized to expedite the delivery of aid.
