July 23, 2025 | Quezon City — The Office of the Vice President – Disaster Operations Center (OVP-DOC) quickly responded this morning to the needs of residents in Barangay Manresa, Quezon City, deploying the OVP Kalusugan Food Truck to provide immediate assistance amid heavy rains caused by a low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon.
The OVP team distributed over 300 packed meals, biscuits, and bottled water to evacuees, responders, and volunteers affected by the flooding.
According to OVP-DOC officials, preparations are ongoing for the next wave of relief operations. Coordination is also underway with local government units and disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) offices to identify other areas in need of support during the calamity.
The Kalusugan Food Truck is part of a broader initiative by the Office of the Vice President to help ensure the health and well-being of Filipinos, especially during times of crisis.
