Trump: Israel Agrees to Terms for 60-Day Gaza Ceasefire

WASHINGTON — Former U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Israel has accepted the terms needed to move forward with a proposed 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, aimed at bringing an end to the conflict in the region.

“Israel has agreed to the essential conditions needed to finalize a 60-day ceasefire. During this time, we will collaborate with all involved parties to bring the war to an end,” Trump posted on social media.

He acknowledged the efforts of Qatar and Egypt in brokering the deal, calling their contribution vital to the peace process. “The Qataris and Egyptians have worked extremely hard to help secure peace,” Trump said. “I truly hope Hamas accepts this offer, for the sake of the region. A better deal won’t come — things will only get worse.”
