Kaohsiung City, Taiwan — September 16, 2025
Two separate factory fires erupted in Kaohsiung’s Daliao District earlier today, prompting swift emergency responses from the Fire Department. Fortunately, both incidents were brought under control without any reported injuries.
The first blaze was reported at 4:29 a.m. at a metal factory on Daming Street. Firefighters quickly mobilized, dispatching 15 fire trucks and 36 personnel to the scene. The flames were contained by 5:00 a.m. and completely extinguished by 5:21 a.m.
Just a few hours later, at around 8:00 a.m., a second alarm was raised for a fire at another factory on Baofu Road in the same district. Once again, the Fire Department deployed 15 vehicles and 38 firefighters to battle the flames. The fire was successfully extinguished close to 9:00 a.m.
Authorities confirmed that no casualties occurred in either incident. Investigators are now working to determine the exact causes of both fires.
