A huge numbers of Migrant workers are renting an apartment or rooms here in Taiwan.
Good news because starting June 1, 2019. The Taiwan Renters’ Right Law will take effect and will safeguard the right of the renters.
Premier Su Tseng-chang (蘇貞昌) announced through his Facebook and Line about the new law. And ask everybody to share the good news.
The key new guidelines are as follows:
1. Rental deposit must not exceed two months.
2. Landlords must not prevent tenants from moving their household registration.
3. Landlords must not overcharge for electricity.
