Dadaocheng Summer Festival 2025 Reaches Grand Finale with Thousand-Wheel Fireworks Show

Taipei – August 30 – The 2025 Dadaocheng Summer Festival will close tonight with a dazzling 480-second fireworks display at 8 p.m., highlighted by the debut of the large-scale “Chengcai Qianlun” thousand-wheel fireworks. Thousands of spinning fireworks in red, green, blue, and purple will light up the sky, creating a spectacular visual feast for festivalgoers.

This year’s fireworks theme, “Love Comes at the Right Time,” incorporates a wide range of effects, including golden crown sparkles, silver willow trails, peony bursts, red heart shapes, 3D floral rings, and lantern effects. The centerpiece, the “Chengcai Qianlun,” has generated excitement in both Taiwan and Japan in recent years and is expected to be a crowd favorite. Many of the displays will form heart patterns, symbolizing blessings and romance.

In addition to the fireworks, the festival showcases live music. The “Cheng.Sing” concert at Yongle Plaza on Dihua Street began this afternoon, featuring up-and-coming artists such as Sunny, Tickle Tickle, the Big Band, and Down with the Sandwich. Later, at 4:30 p.m., Stage No. 4 at Dadaocheng Wharf (Yanping Riverside Park) will host performances by popular acts including Qiao, Hu Xunwu, Greenhouse Weeds, Lü Yun, Gongguan Youth, Chen Hua, Fat-Plagued Group, and Universe People, filling the evening with romance and vibrant energy.

To enhance the festive atmosphere, the Taipei City Tourism Bureau has also organized a cultural and creative market, along with the Fat Cat food truck, giving visitors the chance to shop for crafts and enjoy local delicacies while waiting for the fireworks. Meanwhile, the Taipei Water Department has set up a special “Azalea Drinking Station” on-site, encouraging festivalgoers to stay hydrated with Taipei’s high-quality tap water while supporting a sustainable event environment.

With music, food, and the highly anticipated fireworks, tonight’s finale promises to be a memorable highlight of Taipei’s summer.
