Difference Between Processing Fee and Placement Fee

Many Filipino job hunters are confused with the difference of placement fee and processing fee which are very different with each other. Some companies are paying for both fees, while some do not.

Processing fee are the costs of the agency or the employer has spent to process your papers for your deployment abroad. Processing fee includes the following:
1. Airfare / Plane ticket
2. Visa fee
3. Contributions to PHILHEALTH & HDMF (Pagibig)
4. POEA processing
5. OWWA membership
6. Other documentation fee


Placement fee is the amount you pay to the recruitment agency as a compensation for successfully and legally landing a job abroad. Placement fee costs 1 months of your basic salary abroad.
