Manila, Philippines – August 15, 2025 — Malacañang has downplayed the results of a recent survey indicating that Vice President Sara Duterte is currently leading among potential presidential candidates for the 2028 elections.
The survey results showed that none of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s allies appeared among the top contenders.
According to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro, the findings only highlight that the President remains focused on his duties rather than on politics.
Castro stressed that the 2028 elections are still far off, and the administration’s priority is the continued implementation of projects and programs aimed at addressing public needs and driving national development.
