Fire Erupts at Ritek Group Subsidiary’s Precision Chemical Factory in Hsinchu Industrial Park

A major fire broke out on Saturday, August 1, at the Huli Precision Chemical Co., Ltd. manufacturing facility in Hsinchu Industrial Park, Hukou Township, Hsinchu County, Taiwan, prompting a large-scale emergency response from local fire authorities.

According to the Hsinchu County Fire Bureau, the incident was reported at approximately 11:21 a.m. Firefighters from multiple stations, including the Third Brigade, Hsinchu Industrial Park, Shanzaki, Xinfeng, and Hukou, were immediately deployed to the scene to contain the blaze.

Initial reports indicated that flames were seen erupting through the roof of the three-story factory building before spreading rapidly. Thick black smoke billowed into the sky and was visible from surrounding areas as firefighters worked intensively to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Emergency responders remained on-site throughout the operation, focusing on extinguishing the flames and securing the affected facility. As of publication, authorities have not released any confirmed reports of injuries or fatalities.

The cause of the fire has not yet been established. Investigators will conduct a detailed examination once the scene has been declared safe to determine the origin of the incident.
