Marcos Supporters Gather Near Sandiganbayan Ahead of President’s Fourth SONA

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — A growing crowd of supporters of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. gathered near the Sandiganbayan in Quezon City by noon on Monday, hours before the Chief Executive is set to deliver his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Waving flags and holding placards expressing their support, the attendees came in groups from various parts of Metro Manila and nearby provinces. Many of them wore red shirts and brought banners bearing messages of approval for the Marcos administration’s programs.

The crowd, which began assembling earlier in the morning, steadily grew as more supporters arrived ahead of the annual address. Some chanted slogans of encouragement and expressed hope that the President would highlight economic recovery, infrastructure development, and social welfare in his speech.

Authorities were on-site to manage the crowd and maintain order, with police visibility increased in key areas around the Batasang Pambansa Complex and surrounding locations.

President Marcos is expected to deliver his address before a joint session of Congress later this afternoon, outlining his administration’s accomplishments and legislative priorities for the coming year.
