July 29, 2025 — Manila, Philippines — Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon branded the Supreme Court as “tuta ng Duterte” (a puppet of Duterte) following its decision to junk the impeachment complaints against Vice President Sara Duterte, calling the move unconstitutional.
Gadon criticized the High Court for what he described as biased judgment, questioning why Duterte was spared from accountability despite her controversial public behavior.
“It’s obvious the Supreme Court is siding with Sara,” Gadon said. “I was disbarred for a much lesser offense, while Sara has hurled profanities and issued death threats, but she remains untouched. No disbarment, no sanctions.”
The Supreme Court recently ruled that the impeachment complaints filed against the Vice President failed to meet the constitutional requirements and dismissed them outright.
Gadon, known for his provocative statements, accused the judiciary of applying double standards and protecting Duterte due to political ties.
As of writing, the Supreme Court has not released any official statement in response to Gadon’s accusations.
