Procedures in Applying as Factory Worker in Korea under EPS PROGRAM

Requirements and Qualifications
*Dapat po may passport. At least one year pa ang validity before the exam.
*18 to 38 years old
*no educational attainment required
*not colorblind
*kumpleto ang daliri
*no slipped disc
*walang pending na kaso
*walang record ng deportation
Steps
para gumawa ng e-registration account.
2. Habang nag iintay ng schedule ng exam, hanap po kayo ng Korean Language Review Center. Pwede din po na self-study, pero I strongly suggest na mag enrol sa review center.
3. Wait for the announcement para sa registration sa exam. Usually, first quarter of the year ang registration.
Online registration po. Hindi na kailangang pumunta sa Poea. Ihanda lang yung scanned copy ng passport at picture. 1,196 pesos po bayad para sa exam. Online din po yung payment.
Always visit Poea website para malaman kung may schedule na ng registration.
I suggest na mag join din kayo sa mga KLT groups for more info at the same time review na din.
4. Kung successfully registered na wait for the schedule of exam (1st round). Either PBT (Paper Based Test) or CBT (Computer Based Test). Nauuna mag exam yung mga PBT. May announcement of test date, time and venue naman po.
5. Kung nakapasa ka po sa 1st round (exam), paghandaan po ang 2nd round (competency and skills test)
Sa competency test magpapasa ka ng katibayan na may work experience ka na related sa manufacturing industry, trainings etc. Additional points po eto kaya okay lang na wala ka work experience.
Skills test naman po ay may tatlong part, physical, basic skills test at interview.
Sa physical, hand grip at back muscle strength
Sa basic skills test, pipili ka kung assembly, join o measure.
Sa interview po ay korean language skills.
6. Para po mapasama sa final list of passers, i add po yung 1st round at 2nd round score. Ranking po ang mangyayari at nakadepende sa quota.
Qualifications:
Note:
*Government to government po ang process meaning NO PLACEMENT FEE or agency. Only POEA can process the applications of applicants.
*Estimated na magagastos review hanggang makaalis 40-50k pesos. 60k or more kapag nasa Visayas or Mindanao.
*Minimum salary starting next year will be around 82k pesos.
*Employment contract po kadalasan ay 3 years na pwede ma extend ng 1 year and 10 months.
Benefits after the contract
BENEFITS
Bigyan ko lang po kayo ng idea kung magkano posible maiuwi kapag natapos ang 4 years and 10 months.
1. Samsung Fire Insurance (Return Cost Insurance)
Eto yung babayaran nyo sa first three months dito sa Korea. Total 400,000 won.
Savings or insurance to cover going-home expenses such as air fare of foreign workers.
2. Kukmin (National Pension Service)
Eto yung retirement benefits natin or SSS sa atin.
NPS is a Social Security System implemented by Korean government to ensure the stable livelihood by collecting contributions and paying pension benefits for the insured or their dependents, to prepare for retirement.
Yung monthly contribution will be 9% of your monthly income. 4.5% ikakaltas sa sahod mo, 4.5% employer ang magbabayad.
3. Twejikum (Departure Guarantee Insurance) Samsung
Departure Guarantee Insurance is an insurance paid by business owners who employ foreign workers. Its policy states that severance pay should be compensated at once the day after the departure of a foreign worker, which prevents unauthorized stays.

4. Twejikum (Severance Pay) Company
Average salary for the last 3 months multiplied by years of service in the company.
For example, last salary for 3 months: 1,300,000 1,700,000 and 1,500,000.
Years of service: 4 years and 10 months.
Severance pay = 1,500,000 x 4.75 = 7,125,000 won.
NOTE: Kapag hndi ka naka one year sa company wala kang makukuhang twejikum.
*Sa ngayon po yan lang po ang alam ko na posibleng maiuwi after ng contract.
Sample computation ng pwede maiuwi kapag natapos ang 4 years and 10 months contract ng walang release.
Kung ang deduction sayo sa Kukmin ay 60,000 per month at ang average na sahod sa loob ng 3 months ay 1,500,000 won.
Return cost insurance: 400,000 won.
Kukmin: 60,000 × 2 × 58 months = 6,960,000 won
Twejikum (Departure Guarantee Insurance):
1,260,000 x 58 x 8.3% = 6,000,000 won
Twejikum(Severance Pay): 1,500,000 × 4.75 years = 7,125,000 won
Total 20,485,000 won approximately 800,000 pesos depende sa palitan
NOTE: Sample computation lang po eto, pwedeng mas maliit o mas malaki ang maiuwi depende sa sahod at company na mapupuntahan.
