Yunlin Tourism Campaign Drives Over NT$300 Million in Spending as “Travel Yunlin and Win Prizes” Activity Boosts Local Economy

Yunlin, Taiwan — Yunlin County’s tourism promotion campaign, “2026 Travel Yunlin with Gods – Spend NT$500 and Enter the Lucky Draw”, has achieved remarkable results, attracting visitors and boosting local business activity with spending surpassing NT$300 million since its launch.

According to the Yunlin County Government, the campaign has recorded 452,978 invoice registrations since registration opened in February, with total consumer spending exceeding NT$300 million. The figure represents more than double the growth compared with the same period last year, highlighting the positive impact of tourism marketing on the county’s economy.

Smart Features and Bonus Promotions Attract More Visitors

This year’s campaign introduced several upgrades to encourage tourism spending. In partnership with Taiwan’s four major convenience store chains, the program offers a three-times spending accumulation bonus, allowing visitors to earn more opportunities for prize draws.

The campaign also added digital features through the “Slow Travel Yunlin APP,” including invoice scanning and cloud invoice integration, providing travelers with a more convenient and technology-driven experience when exploring Yunlin.

With various tourism activities and innovative promotional strategies, Yunlin has seen a continued increase in visitors. The county reported that tourism arrivals have already exceeded 33 million people, setting a new record for the region.

Major Prizes Awarded to Lucky Visitors

Yunlin County Magistrate Chang Li-shan said the campaign has received enthusiastic support from visitors nationwide, with both invoice registrations and spending figures showing significant growth compared with last year.

She emphasized that the program has successfully encouraged more people to visit Yunlin, explore local attractions, and support businesses across the county.

During a special lucky draw event held on the 14th, winners received major prizes including:

  • Gogoro electric scooters
  • Airline tickets
  • Massage chairs
  • Steam ovens
  • Robot vacuum cleaners
  • AirPods wireless earphones

The county government also continues to expand promotional efforts through Taiwan High Speed Rail travel packages, convenience store bonus campaigns, and special prize programs across Yunlin’s 20 townships.

Supporting Local Businesses and Expanding Tourism Opportunities

The Yunlin Real Estate Development Commercial Association also joined the campaign by supporting the “20 Township Bonus Draw”, encouraging visitors to travel beyond popular destinations and discover the unique attractions of each township.

The association said that corporate participation is not only a contribution to local industries but also an investment in strengthening Yunlin’s tourism development. Future cooperation will continue through sponsorship of monthly convenience store gift certificate draws to encourage more visitors and create shared economic benefits.

Tourism Campaign Creates New Economic Momentum

Yunlin County Cultural and Tourism Department Director Hsieh Ming-hsuan said the campaign is more than just a lucky draw event. It serves as a platform connecting local hotels, tourism factories, businesses, shopping districts, and regional brands.

Through partnerships across different industries, the program creates a cycle of travel, spending, rewards, and returning benefits, encouraging visitors to experience Yunlin’s culture, food, attractions, and communities.

The county government stated that tourism promotions will continue throughout the year, aiming to maintain visitor momentum, strengthen local businesses, and further enhance Yunlin’s tourism brand.
