How to avail OFW E-Card in Taiwan?

What is OFW E-card?
The OFW Electron Card (E-card) is an identification card issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) through its attached agencies, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA).

Who can avail the OFW E-card?
-Active OWWA member
-With at least 90 days remaining before its membership expired.


How to know the status of membership in Taiwan?
-May call MECO Labor Taichung at 04-23029093
-Can send a private message at OWWA Taichung Taiwan Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/OwwaTaichung/
just indicate the full name(Family name, First name, Middle name)

What to do of expired membership?
-for re-activation of membership, you can pay at MECO Labor Taichung or at Ugnayan Center, Tanzi.

Note:
Please bring with you a photocopy of ARC

-After payment, a stub will be issued then log on www.owwa.gov.ph to check the status.
-For caretakers who will re-activate its membership, must bring a copy of the Employment contract to know the name of the Employer and ID number.


Where can I get the E-card?
-This will only be issued at OWWA Central Office and its Regional Welfare Office. So the OFW can choose the nearest office.

What if I am in Taiwan, who can claim?
– The E-card will only be issued in the Philippines
-Any of the authorized Family members only. The claimant must present an Authorization letter from the OFW and a copy of passport.
